RALEIGH — Former President Donald Trump will hold a rally in Johnston County on Saturday, April 9 according to a statement from his Save America PAC confirming the announcement. The rally will be held in Selma, the site of one of his rallies during the 2016 presidential campaign’s final weekend. The rally comes five days before Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., is scheduled to keynote the Johnston County Republican Party’s annual Reagan Day dinner. The statement says Trump will deliver remarks in support of U.S. Senate candidate Ted Budd and other endorsed candidates. Trump is coming off a pair of rallies in South Carolina and Georgia to rally support for his endorsed candidates ahead of their state’s spring primaries.
