Rupert Greatrix, one of the investors, said: "The event was hugely community-centred, even when we were putting up the tent. The secret to success is good beer and good food, which it has, and this is a destination pub, so I'm hopeful for the future. "It's a good event, the food is great, and I think the tent will definitely attract people." Everybody involved wants a true village pub rather than a gastro pub. Now the investors continue to work together to use their expertise in business and law to create a village pub that encompasses the community spirit of the village.
