Parkrun, a weekly 5k running event, is no stranger to famous faces with celebrities across the UK having pledged their support and gotten involved. However, runners in Swindon say they've been shocked at how many famous faces have joined in with local residents this year. Famous comedian Joe Wilkinson, who is best known for his TV appearances on 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Mock The Week and shows such as Rovers, was among the hundreds who turned up to Lydiard Parkrun this summer. The comedian isn't the only celebrity to have paid a visit to a Swindon Parkrun this year. Swindon is currently home to two Parkrun locations, Lydiard Park and Seven Fields in Penhill, and both run events every Saturday at 9am.
