On September 8, Charwhit Property Group applied to extend the property at 52 Bond Street and transform it into the dwellings. The application form reads: “Extension and conversion of existing Funeral Directors to form 7 self-contained one-bedroom flats with associated parking, cycle storage and refuse provision.”A design and access statement attached to the planning application states the property was a funeral directors until roughly twelve months before the plans were filed. A description of the site in the statement reads: “the building has been left derelict since with no interest in reopening. “The existing garden is approximately 160 m², currently overgrown and enclosed by timber fencing. According to Wiltshire Council’s planning application portal, a decision is expected by November 3, 2025.
