Residents in the SN4, SN5 and SN6 postcodes reported having either no water or very low water pressure early on Sunday morning. Local businesses including The Royal Wootton Bassett and The Butcher's Mate were forced to close due to not having any running water. Meanwhile, bottled water was handed out at Sainsbury's car park in Royal Wootton Bassett, but supplies quickly depleted. On Monday morning, the water company confirmed that the repairs had been made to the burst pipe and water supply should be back to normal. A spokesperson for Thames Water said: "We’ve now completed repairs to a burst pipe on Braydon Road, SN5, which caused low water pressure or a temporary loss of supply yesterday.
