There have been significant delays at multiple points along the A4 Bath Road heading into Chippenham town centre. Traffic has been queuing back onto Chequers Roundabout, across the entrance to Sainsbury’s and McDonald’s, from The Pheasant Roundabout. This is partly due to remedial works being carried out by contractors for Bloor Homes in relation to the nearby Hunter’s Moon development. Once traffic heading into Chippenham has passed these roadworks, it has been met by temporary traffic lights on Rowden Hill. They have caused long delays in both directions during busy periods while Wales & West Utilities has carried out work in the area.
