Around 150 people headed to the county town last week to celebrate the life, times, and works of Jane Austen. The event centred around Parade House, a Grade 1 listed building on Fore Street that plays hosts to events throughout the year and has become a fixture on the Jane Austen Festival programme. Bath’s Jane Austen Festival has been running since 2001, and which saw thousands flock to the region as part of a 10-day celebration of the novelist. In a statement with the Wiltshire Times, Carey Tesler, who owns Parade House with her husband Simon Tesler, and who runs the annual Jane Austen Festival. She then arranged for a copy to be made which is now on display at Parade House.
