On infrastructure, Dr. Suleri criticized unchecked development along riverbeds and stormwater drains, warning that ignoring climate risks in urban planning will lead to repeated disasters. Dr. Suleri concluded that floods and extreme weather are the “new normal,” requiring serious planning, research, and implementation.
