Danny Joe Griffin, age 64, of Indianola, Illinois passed away on August 10, 2025. He was born February 24, 1961, to the late Carl "Lee" and Sondra "Sonnie" Griffin. Danny grew up with his brother Wade Lee Griffin of Sidell, Illinois and his sister, Debra Sue Burgess of Newman, Illinois. Danny attended Jamaica High School. He was married in 1978 and had two children, Daniel Lee Griffin and Carrie Lynn Griffin of Sidell, Illinois. In 2004, Danny married Tammy Wolfe and was blessed with three step-children, Heather (Jeremy) Wyer of Georgetown, Illinois, Stephanie (Matt) Lewis of Danville, Illinois, and Ethan (Elizabeth) Wyer of Fairmount, Illinois. Danny was blessed with 17 grandchildren, Blaize Griffin, Wrayccinn Griffin, Zoe Griffin, Brentllee Warters, Addison Williams, Ella Williams, Tristen Wyer, Rhettly Wyer, Serinity Wyer, Carter Gan, Alleeanna Gan, Xxayvier Lewis, Adrayan Lewis, Jaydon Lewis, Jayse Lewis, Jaylyn Lewis, and KK Lewis. Danny was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jake and Esther (Mack) Johnson, his parents Carl and Sonnie Griffin, and his son Daniel Lee Griffin. Early in life Danny enjoyed camping and boating with his family and dirt bike hill climbing with his son, brother, cousins and friends. A Celebration of Life Dinner will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the family home in Sidell, Illinois.
