Lois Virginia Reese Age 94, of Godley, IL, on Friday, September 12, 2025. Born November 23, 1930 in Danville to the late Lawrence and Hazel (Johnson) Reese. Lois retired from the United States Postal Service as a city postal carrier in Downtown Chicago. She was known to be very generous, but yet a fiercely competitive domino and card player (especially with her siblings), combined with sharp wit even through her last moments. Some of her hobbies included reading, quilting, sewing, and puzzles. Most of all, Lois enjoyed visits from her kids and grandkids, who she adored dearly. Lois was a good woman who sincerely sought the Lord and will truly be missed. Surviving are three daughters, Christina Harden, Roseann (Alex) Maich, and Kathleen (Mike) Walsh; two sons, Ronald (Barb) Sobkoviak and Mark (Jane) Sobkoviak; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; siblings, Irene, James (Rhonda), Robert, and Bonnie; and numerous nieces and nephews; Preceding her in death were her parents; son, Lauren Reid Sobkoviak; siblings, Evelyn, Helen, and Donna; son-in-law, David Harden; and former husband, Donald Gene Sobkoviak. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial visitation will be at the R.W.
