Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced on Wednesday, July 3, that Michael Vulpis, aged 26, was apprehended at his residence in Freehold. The arrest was made in relation to the June 27 occurrence in Jackson Township. After sustaining injuries, the victim received medical attention at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. After an extensive investigation, Vulpis was identified as the individual responsible for the shooting and was subsequently arrested in Freehold. A detention hearing is pending for him as he remains lodged in the Ocean County Jail.
