Hi. I’m Ashby, Sharon Varn was my mother. She died a couple years ago and I hope the museum will honor her. The mural she painted. I was very surprised they haven’t at least put a simple plaque. it weren’t for her love of the community she and my stepdad decided to sell the property to keep the community heritage and history. Algie and mom were always involved in the community. Unfortunately because Algie was a crabber his entire life & it took a toll on his body, he was ready to retire. Thank you to Justice Thomas for having his 60 minutes interview at the factory. That’s what started this amazing project. Thank you Harland. A huge thank you to the amazing people of the community of Pin Point for being there for my family like they were your own family. I’m not gonna mention who was there for my mom and dad individually but I remember you. And love you. I really appreciate everyone in Pin Point. I hope you and your many generations enjoy the museum four years to come. I love you guys.
