The beverage multinational recently launched the ‘Made in Germany’ campaign, highlighting its German employees and featuring the slogan ‘Made by [employee name]. While Coca-Cola was invented in America in 1886, it began bottling in Germany in 1929. Today, 97% of the beverages sold by Coca-Cola in Germany – including Coca-Cola and 60 other brands, such as Fanta, Sprite, ViO, Fuze Tea and Powerade – are predominantly produced in Germany. During World War II, Coca-Cola’s production in Germany halted due to a shortage of raw materials. Mezzo Mix, a popular local blend of Coca-Cola and Fanta, was launched in 1973.
