MONROE, N.C. — K9 Bolo is credited with capturing a suspect accused of running from Monroe Police officers over the weekend. Around 3:55 p.m., police say he was spotted in a nearby field and is accused of running from officers. K9 Bolo was released and quickly caught up to him, ending the chase within seconds, according to a news release. Police say Gutorka suffered minor injuries from the K9 bite, which were treated at Atrium Union Hospital. Gutorka is facing multiple charges, including larceny of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, resisting a public officer, hit and run, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, failure to appear in court, and a parole violation.
