MIAMI, FL – Major Hurricane Gabrielle continues to swirl away from the Carolinas over the open Atlantic, but we’ve got (potentially) bigger fish to fry. We’ll want to watch two areas for potential development north of the Caribbean closely over the coming days. Medium-range models bring what appears to be a named storm in the vicinity of the Carolinas early next week. As we know all too well when it comes to the tropics, a lot can and will change. It’s still way too early to know how these potential systems will impact the Carolinas, if at all.
