The National Ploughing Championships is underway this week from 16 to 18 September in Tullamore, Co Offaly. According to the National Ploughing Association, this year, the festival counts a “record number” of business participants. One of the most anticipated parts of the Championship in recent years has been the annual Enterprise Ireland Innovation Arena competition, which turned 12 this year. According to Enterprise Ireland, GasAbate helps reduce methane emissions by 80pc, hydrogen sulphide by 80pc and ammonia by 50pc. While the 2025 Innovation Arena Champion Award, honouring an established company demonstrating a focus on scaling and innovation, went to Tipperary’s Herdwatch.
