At a time when Ireland is striving to increase home building, Platmech will bring TCL’s award-winning heat pump tech to the country, as it secures €2m cash injection. Founded by Donal Somers in 2014, climate-tech company Platmech has announced a €2m capital injection and an exclusive national partnership with Chinese engineering giant TCL, which has revenues of some $43bn. It will see TCL’s award-winning climate-friendly Tri-Thermal R290 heat pump range launched in Ireland for the first time. “We’re excited about this partnership,” said Arya Hu, deputy director of TCL Heat Pump Europe. “TCL brings world-class engineering and the strength of a global Olympic partner brand.
