As we count down the final few days of Christmas, Google has released its festive Doodle of the year, proclaiming: “’Tis the season”. When we say this greeting at Christmastime, our minds are immediately taken to that most famous of Christmas songs, Deck the Halls. Its English origins date back to 1862, when the first lyrics in that language appeared. So, to get into the festive spirit, Google has released not one, but two, Google Doodles to mark the two days before Christmas. Similarly, those likely to experience Christmas in an altogether warmer environment see carollers taking some shade beneath a palm tree.
