The European expansion of IndiGo continues to proceed apace. Also on September 16, 2025, IndiGo confirmed its new thrice weekly service linking Mumbai (BOM) to Copenhagen (CPH) will be launched on October 8, 2025. However, unlike Athens, IndiGo will not have to wait for the arrival of its new A321XLR aircraft to launch its new Danish route. The service will be operated by one of the Boeing 787-9 aircraft it has leased from Norse Atlantic Airways. From June 2, 2026, IndiGo will compete on this route with Scandinavian Airlines (SAS), which will launch its own five-weekly nonstop Copenhagen-Mumbai service using Airbus A330 aircraft.
