Flag carriers and fellow oneworld alliance members Malaysia Airlines and Qantas have announced a new codeshare partnership to enhance travel options across Australia, Malaysia, and beyond. Malaysia Airlines will add its ‘MH’ code to 18 domestic routes operated by Qantas in Australia, providing smoother onward connections to cities like Canberra, Darwin, Hobart, and Launceston. Cam Wallace, CEO of Qantas International, said the partnership demonstrates the airline’s “commitment to offering more choice and convenience through an expanding network” of both airlines. This collaboration comes as Malaysia Airlines prepares for a significant expansion in the Australian market later in 2025. Malaysia Airlines and Qantas are both members of the oneworld Alliance, offering passengers access to a global network of over 900 destinations.
