Special constable who fraudulently claimed £21k barred from the profession

Andrew Hatchett, who worked previously with Thames Valley Police, fraudulently claimed £21,672.73 while serving as a special constable.
Enquiries showed that between 2019 and 2024, the total number of recorded duties on the duty sheet of the former officer was 404.
He was also ordered to pay back all the money to Thames Valley Police within a 28-day period.
“As a consequence of this, the former Special Constable Hackett's name will be included on the barred list.
Hackett was based in Reading when working for the force, which is the town of where his crimes took place.
