Police officers were injured in an incident involving a silver Ford Galaxy on Berkeley Avenue at approximately 6.20 am on Sunday, September 21. A man from Reading has since been arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle dangerously, driving a vehicle whilst unfit through drugs and assault on an emergency service worker. Lead investigating officer Detective Inspector John Morley said: “We are conducting a thorough investigation following this incident, which has left two police officers injured. “We understand that this incident may cause concern within the community, and I would like to reassure the public that an arrest has been made in connection with this incident. “If you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via its website.”
