Emergency services closed the M40 in both directions for around an hour while paramedics helped the injured driver. A spokeswoman from Warwickshire Police, who attended the crash, said the driver suffered "serious injuries". She said: "We were called at around 10.30am to reports of a road traffic collision involving two vehicles. "The road reopened at around 12.30pm." Commenting at 12.30pm, a Warwickshire Police spokeswoman said: "The M40 has now reopened in both directions between junctions 11 and 12 following a road traffic collision.
