Young man found dead in nature reserve named as American Oxford Brookes student

On Friday afternoon (September 19) a man, 28, was found dead in the CS Lewis Nature Reserve in Risinghurst. Forensics were reported in the woodland area at the time by people using the nature reserve as well as householders nearby. Now he has been named as Mason Thomas Gilbert, a 28-year-old American studying at Oxford Brookes University. Most recently he studied for a Masters at Oxford Brookes University in motorsport engineering and was a team member for the Oxford Brookes Racing team which describes itself as the UK’s top Formula student team.
