Today (Tuesday, September 23) Woodstock Road in Oxford was shut for a brief time after a horse box broke down. These vehicles are used to transport the animals across the country. Once the police constables had shut the road, the horse was transferred safely to a new vehicle and the road was reopened. A police spokesperson said: "During patrols, police constable Carney-Smith and police constable Fabian-Hunt assisted with a broken down horse box and temporarily closed Woodstock Road in Oxford so that a horse could be transferred safely to a new vehicle."
