Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue attended the scene after receiving reports the animal had washed up along the shore of the bank. ‌On social media, Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue later posted: "At 15:28 on 21/9/25, we received a report of a common dolphin stranding in the Humber Estuary near Goxhill. As dolphins are classed as Royal Fish, we liaised with Humber Coastguard to provide an accurate location and moved the dolphin above the tide line.
