The mother, who wished not to be named, says her daughter, aged nine, has been receiving inconsistent and inadequate support for her autism whilst attending Lynburn Primary School. Her daughter requires a pupil support assistant (PSA) to help her into school in the mornings and to assist during sensory breaks. However, the level of cover can be sporadic, leaving her daughter missing critical school time and feeling extremely distressed. A lack of support for another child with complicated needs resulted in the mum’s child being attacked and injured at school.
