The star-studded evening, held at the Adam Smith Theatre in Kirkcaldy, marked the 160th anniversary of Fife sight loss charity Seescape, and featured appearances from former Prime Minister Gordon Brown, singer Barbara Dickson, and Fife Provost Jim Leishman. Gordon Brown, who is the charity’s honorary president, spoke about his own experience of sight loss and the support he has received from Seescape. The charity helps people with sight loss to live independently by providing advice, training, assistive technology assistance, befriending services, and social groups. Seescape staff took part by running a putting challenge, where participants wore glasses that simulate different eye conditions.
