The road, just off Carnock Road, in Milesmark, has been named after John (Jock) Waterson, who the Fife District Council employed for an astounding 51 years as a foreman in the roads department. For 25 of those years, Mr Waterson raised his family, including three children Elizabeth, Charlie and Margaret, in the adjoining county cottage while working at the council roads depot in Milesmark, until his retirement in 1972.
