The Swallowdrum site will contribute to the 8,000 new homes that are planned for in and around Dunfermline over the next 10-20 years. That already includes more than 2,000 homes and a primary school at Broomhall, 1,400 homes and a primary school between Halbeath and Kingseat and 1,100 homes between Wellwood and Milesmark. There are also 900 homes and a primary school in the works at Kelty, plans for around 360 homes in Rosyth and major housebuilding at three sites at Crossford and Cairneyhill. As well as houses the plans include new roads, access, parking, landscaping and associated development.
