— A Beresford man will spend the next five decades in prison after admitting responsibility for a crash that killed three of his passengers in 2023.
In a Lincoln County courtroom on Wednesday, Sept. 17, Hayden Hall, of Beresford, was sentenced to 100 years in prison with 50 years suspended, plus ordered to pay nearly $66,000 in restitution.
According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Hall, who was injured in the crash, then left the scene of the crash and is accused of stealing a different truck from a nearby farm operation.
The crash was not discovered until sheriff’s deputies investigating the alleged vehicle theft searched the area.
Following Wednesday’s sentencing, Hall was immediately remanded to the custody of the Department of Corrections.
