— A Rapid City man has died from injuries he suffered in a motorcycle crash Friday evening east of the city, according to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
Authorities say the 53-year-old man was riding a 1994 Harley Davidson Dyna Wide Glide east on South Dakota Highway 44 near mile marker 58 when a deer ran into the roadway.
ADVERTISEMENTThe rider, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and died Sunday morning.
His name has not yet been released pending notification of family.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating.
