ALEXANDRIA — At its Monday meeting, the Alexandria City Council approved a special event permit for the Someplace Safe “Take A Stand Against Domestic Violence” event that will take place Tuesday, Oct. 14 from 5 to 7 p.m. Appraisals tabled for trail easementsThe council voted to table getting appraisals from Ruhland Commercial Consultants for conservation easements along the Southeast Watershed Trail . The city was awarded a Conservation Partners Legacy Grant by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources back on December 29, 2023. Construction of the trail section is currently planned for 2028 through a different grant secured by the city, Schultz said.
