OSAKIS — Osakis students seem to be adjusting well to the school’s new, stricter cell phone policy . Principal Brad Hoffarth told the board last week that consistency has been a big goal. “They were just impressed that we have that implemented here,” she told the school board at the meeting. School board members approved just over $5,700 for materials to improve pitchers’ mounds and make batting boxes more solid. Elementary principal Shad Schmidt told the school board at its Sept. 17 meeting that “early indicators show Silverstreak Academy students are testing ahead of our current kindergarten group.”
