A locomotive and nine rail cars left the track west of SchreiberSCHREIBER — Details have emerged about a weekend train derailment along the north shore of Lake Superior. Multiple cars in a CPKC freight train derailed about 5:45 am Sunday approximately 35 kilometres west of Schreiber. A railway spokesperson told Newswatch nine cars carrying intermodal shipping containers, and one locomotive, left the track. He said there were no injuries, and that none of the cars were carrying dangerous goods. The incident left the rail line blocked until early Monday morning.
