With a new parking lot around Lakeshore’s downtown area, Euclid officials are ironing out what rules will be applicable to it and other municipal parking lots in the future. Euclid purchased the former Great Scott Tavern’s parking lot located at 21901 Lakeshore Blvd. in July so that visitors could have better access to several shops in the area who currently use street parking adjacent to their locations. Now that the purchase is completed, council has introduced an amended chapter to its traffic codes that will dictate exactly how parking lots can be used and most importantly, when they can be used. Euclid City Council is set to make its final decision at its next meeting on Oct. 6.
