After swearing under oath that she saw Bryan Hooper Jr. kill Prazniak, Young finally admitted in July 2025 she was the one who committed the murder. If she came forward as a witness, Hooper would become the only suspect and Young would receive a reduced sentence. Young’s testimony put Hooper behind bars for Prazniak’s murder. In addition to Young’s witness testimony, four other people testified in court that Hooper told them he killed Prazniak.
