BRAINERD, Minn. — A rural Crow Wing County husband and wife face criminal charges after their 10-year-old daughter was found dead at their home.
Conributed / Crow Wing County JailCrow Wing County sheriff’s investigators reported an overpowering odor of urine and feces and what appeared to be feces on the floor and walls of the bedroom.
ADVERTISEMENTThe 12-year-old was taken into protective custody by Crow Wing County Social Services after the parents were arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 17.
Both were being held in the Crow Wing County Jail as of Friday afternoon.
Heather Cross said she spent the rest of the day packing school supplies while Darcy Cross was outside mowing the lawn.
