Longtime New England Patriots executive Bobby Grier has died at the age of 82, the team said in a statement Monday. The team said Grier, who served the organization for nearly two decades in coaching and executive roles, passed away peacefully over the weekend. He left the Patriots in 2000 to join the Houston Texans, where he worked for the next 16 years. His son Chris Grier is the general manager of the Miami Dolphins, and his son Mike Grier is the general manager of the San Jose Sharks.
