William Clowes, 73, of Waterside View, was set to be sentenced at Chester Magistrates Court on Tuesday, September 23, after changing his plea on the morning of his August trial for the three offences. He admitted to masturbating and exposing himself at public toilets in the town in January, February and June 2024. However, despite attending court on Tuesday, Clowes was told he will now be sentenced on Thursday, October 23. OTHER NEWS:This, according to defence solicitor Richard Sibeon, was because his client ‘did not receive’ a date from the probation service to carry out a pre-sentence report. At Mr Sibeon’s request, chairman of the bench Olga Randall adjourned the hearing for a month to allow for the defendant to speak to probation.
