Lake District estate gears up for the return of Apple Day

It will be held in the gardens and woodlands of the historic estate near Carnforth in the Lake District.

The programme will include apple pressing(Image: Lauren Hall Photo and Video)The event returns following last year’s inaugural Apple Day, and forms part of the wider Share the Harvest festival coordinated by Closing Loops and FoodFutures.
The event will be held in the gardens and woodlands of the historic Leighton Hall estate near Carnforth(Image: Lauren Hall Photo and Video)Visitors can expect to see Cross Apiary, Coppice Co-op, The Red Rose Wood Turning Group, RSPB, and Larksfoot Forest School.
The programme includes willow weaving, apple pressing, campfire cooking sessions, market stalls, and tastings of apples, honey, and local ciders.
