Levens Village Store has donated £1,000 to Springfield Domestic Abuse Support and £500 to the Sedgwick Women’s Cricket Team. The donations are part of a broader giving programme, with more than £27,500 donated to good causes since 2021 through the Co-op Wholesale’s Making a Difference Locally (MADL) charity. Vanessa Riley, owner of Levens Village Store, said: "Over the past four years MADL have been so very generous with their donations and each time a donation is announced I'm always on the lookout for who we can support in our community and area and contact them." More than 20 organisations have benefited, including Levens Toddler Group, Manna House, Growing Well, and Proud in Kendal. The £1,000 donation to Springfield Domestic Abuse Support was made through a partnership with Maltesers.
