These sessions will focus on Level 3 intensive care at Furness General Hospital (FGH) and are part of a wider consultation plan organised by NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB) and University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust (UHMBT). The sessions will take place across South Cumbria, with both in-person and virtual options available. Level 3 intensive care was temporarily suspended at FGH, with patients requiring this level of critical care transferred to Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI) once stabilised. FGH’s critical care services are scheduled to be discussed this month at the Westmorland and Furness Health and Adults Scrutiny Committee.
