The South Lakes Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) reached out to the community this week in the hope of identifying potential witnesses. The four separate incidents happened at the Bird Cage in Kendal at 10.55pm on September 11, and at Kendal Bus Station on September 17, 21, and 22. A police spokesperson said: "In all of these instances, public litter bins have been set alight. "This obviously poses a risk to the public but also necessitates emergency crews turning out to respond. Those with information are encouraged to reach out by contacting 101.
