South Cumbrian village ranked among 'The Best Places to Live' in the UK
['Tom Cockburn']
The Westmorland Gazette | News
Cartmel has been ranked in the well-known lifestyle publication Muddy Stilettos ‘Top 300 Best Places to Live’ in the UK.
The list, which was in partnership with Knight Frank, took Muddy Stilettos all over the nation, ranking places by local region.
Cartmel, however, was named in the ‘Best of the Rest’ category alongside places such as Alnwick, Newport, Stamford, Ledbury, and Perth, amongst others.
The village is described by Muddy Stilettos as a “small but mighty village that’s best known for its food” – as well as its history.
In keeping with the food theme, the publication stated that visitors must get down to the likes of Cartmel Village Shop, and the Michelin-starred restaurants Rogan and Co., and L’Enclume.
