Countywide, the number of unsheltered individuals remained relatively stable, going up by 1%, from 7,169 to 7,238 individuals the report shows. The vast majority of unsheltered individuals in Mountain View — 97% — were living in vehicles, according to the report. Palo Alto is already pursuing numerous initiatives to address the recent growth in the local homeless population.
