Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia, the designers behind Oscar de la Renta for the past nine years, are stepping down from the brand, they announced on social media Wednesday. According to a joint Instagram post, Kim and Garcia are stepping away to concentrate on their other label, Monse, which they co-founded in 2015. No successor has been named for Oscar de la Renta. Monse is currently raising capital to fund the growth of its e-commerce platform, according to a brand spokesperson. Moving forward, it will also focus on other categories such as handbags, which were a highlight in its Spring 2026 runway show Sunday.
