Sunny Patch has plans to run for the Yukon Liberal Party in Riverdale SouthA director of the territorial Department of Community Services wants to be the Liberal candidate for Riverdale South in looming elections. Sunny Patch went up against Nils Clarke, who was eventually elected as MLA for the past two terms, for the Yukon Liberal Party nomination in the other Riverdale riding nearly a decade ago. She is returning in an attempt to get the nod to run for MLA in Riverdale South this time around. According to a press release, Patch has served on the Riverdale Community Association for years. Aurora Viernes, a long-time nursing home attendant, has put her name forward for the Yukon Party in Riverdale South and Justin Ziegler, who works in aviation, is running for the Yukon NDP.
