The resurfacing taking place on Fourth Avenue has been postponed until next yearThe roadwork taking place on Fourth Avenue is being postponed to next year, according to the City of Whitehorse. The City announced the postponement on Sept. 22. The advisory chalks the postponement up to rainy and cold weather that is forecast for Whitehorse in the coming weeks, as well as contractor availability. The postponement will ensure that there is no work that is left incomplete throughout the winter, per the City. The work was set to include resurfacing of Fourth Avenue between Second Avenue and Ogilvie Street in downtown Whitehorse, and would include lane closures throughout the period of resurfacing.
