Energy prices, Orban noted, are "three to four times higher" than in the US, while countries like France are edging toward unsustainable debt levels. "Europe, as we knew and loved it, is over," Orban warned. Experts from the International Monetary Fund and other institutions have warned that the EU risks long-term stagnation.
